Harriston is a close-knit rural community with a proud tradition of service, volunteerism, and neighbourly support. Rooted in agriculture and strengthened by generations of families, Harriston values remembrance, community spirit, and coming together to support one another. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 296 has long been an important gathering place, hosting events, ceremonies, and programs that bring residents together while honouring those who have served Canada.
